My last corset from Amy Crowder
This is my last corset from Amy Crowder, Wasp Creations. For me it was a new model advised by Amy the one called gusseted corset. This corset has 9 bones on each side and in the front under the zipper a 1 inch wide stiff underbusk. Waist size 17 inch.
Such a beautiful piece. Its so sad that she died so young. I never got the chance to speak with her nor to order from her (was saving up to do so) but had long ago decided to buy one of her creations once I'd reduced down to 18 inches (to go smaller). I'm so sad that now I can't. Her work was so unique that she truly is a great loss to the corsetry world, on top of being a great loss to all her friends and family.
Last night I helped with the auction of Amy's collection of corsets to help offset the cost of settling her affairs. Some were stock for her planned but unannounced ready-to-wear line, but many were her personal corsets. Three of her personal discipline corsets did not sell.
I thought they might fit you. Would you be interested in one of them? Proceeds from a sale will go to Amy's mom. Please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
It's always sad when a person devoted to a worthwhile purpose dies , especially one so skilled and talented as my former partner Katie Cahill - we still meet and chat - remarked to me .
Kermit, I might be interested one of Amy's personal corsets if still available. I was one of her earliest customers When he used to joke about my extreme waist to hip ratio, I'd aways point out that ours were the same except, I had a big butt.
Unexpected weight loss stole 4-6"___from my hips, and I would be thrilled at the thought of one of her own corsets wrapped around me as I carry on.

PS While I have used Live Journal, have never replied tO A blog like this before.
Annalai,, I apologize for replying to Kermit here, but I couldn't find another way to reply elsewhere (even tried Googling). I finally decided to just joined post here as you who rightfully gets "first-dibs" on ' buying the mentioned corsets. While my horizontal measurements are probably "right" I am taller than both of you, so may be out of luck any way.
It might be best if I give my email, so I don't intrude anymore on your blog, Annalai.
Thank you for posting pictures of your last WC corset. I'm inspired to do the same-- except my last one would have people on the floor laughing.-
Amy's work was great, but my sudden weight loss forced me to try a do-it-yourself alter-job :) It's still built of steel!
